Individuals, groups and organisations can apply to hire the Village Hall. The person responsible for the booking must be 18 or over.
The maximum capacity of the building is 200 people.
Yes. The Village Hall is fully accessible, with step-free access via a ramp and an accessible toilet.
Yes. There is a large free car park immediately outside the Village Hall, shared with Bwlchgwyn Park.
Yes. There is a full kitchen available for hirers to use. Please leave it clean and tidy, as you found it.
Yes. Tables and chairs are provided, with enough available to accommodate the full hall space. Please return them appropriately after use.
Yes. Wi-Fi is available and can be requested when making your booking.
Yes. Tea and coffee can be supplied for 50p per person. You can request this on the booking form.
Yes. You're welcome to decorate the hall for your event, provided no damage is caused and all decorations are removed afterwards.
The Village Hall can also offer room decoration and set-up using its own items. Contact the team to discuss what's available.
Yes. The hall can be hired for children's parties and other celebrations. If you're planning to use an inflatable or other play equipment, please see the separate guidance below.
Yes, provided appropriate insurance cover is in place. The Village Hall's insurance does not cover inflatables or other play equipment, so a copy of the relevant insurance certificate must be provided before the event.
Yes. The Village Hall is available for parties, celebrations and other private events. For any particular requirements, please contact the Village Hall when booking.
Yes. The hall can be hired by individuals, organisations, community groups and others for suitable activities and events.
Yes. Full bar service is available on Friday and Saturday evenings, subject to a minimum attendance of 50 adults.
A refundable deposit of £13 per hour of bar service is required and will be fully refunded provided at least 50 adults attend.
No. Alcohol must not be brought onto the premises.
With permission from Bwlchgwyn Village Hall Association, a hirer may be able to obtain an Occasional Licence. Please contact the Association beforehand if your event involves alcohol.
Yes. A small Bluetooth-enabled stereo is available for hirers to use free of charge.
Yes. You're welcome to bring your own food or use an outside caterer for your event.
The Village Hall can also provide catering, so contact the team if you'd like to discuss catering for your booking.
Yes. If you're using external entertainment, you must let the Village Hall know when booking. A copy of the provider's public liability insurance must be supplied within 14 days of the event.
All music must finish by 11.30pm, and the Village Hall must be vacated by midnight.
Your hire only covers the times agreed on your booking, so remember to include enough time for setting up and clearing away.
Yes. Please leave the hall, toilets and any other areas you've used clean and tidy. All rubbish must be removed and taken away with you.
Make sure you include enough time for clearing up when making your booking.
Animals are not normally permitted without prior permission from the Village Hall Association. Guide dogs are permitted.
No. Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the Village Hall.
If you cancel less than 14 days before your booking, 50% of the booking fee will be retained.
For cancellations made less than 7 days before the booking, no refund will be given.
Yes. All rubbish must be removed and taken away at the end of your booking.
The hall and toilets must also be brushed/mopped as necessary and left as clean as you found them. Remember to include enough time for cleaning and clearing away within your booked hours.
