Bwlchgwyn and the countryside around it have accumulated their share of strange stories, old traditions and half-remembered legends over the centuries.
From tales of ancient battles on Maes Maelor and mysterious mounds at Pant y Lladron, to extraordinary accounts of a ghostly army marching through Nant-y-Ffrith, some of these stories have been passed down locally for generations.
Separating history, folklore and later retelling isn't always easy, and that's part of what makes them so fascinating.
