Community Agents help people over 50 connect with the services, support and opportunities available to them in their local area.
The idea is simple: sometimes the right help is available, but knowing where to find it, who to contact or how to access it can be difficult. Community Agents help bridge that gap.
Because Agents work within the communities they support, they have local knowledge and can help people find practical solutions, stay connected and make informed choices about their present and future needs.
Health & wellbeing — finding services and support that may help you stay well and independent.
Benefits & finances — signposting to benefits, debt advice and income-maximisation support.
Accessing services — help with applications, claims and finding the right organisation.
Getting connected — discovering local groups, clubs, activities and opportunities to meet others.
Digital support — helping you connect with others and access services using technology.
Local activities — supporting the development of clubs and activities within the community.
Finding the right help — if you're simply not sure who you need to speak to, your Community Agent can help point you in the right direction.
The Community Agent service supports adults aged 50 and over.
You can contact the service yourself, or be referred by a GP, family member or another organisation.
There is no charge for using the service.
